The Farmer's Market

The farmers market is Minnesota's largest open-air, covered market. We will open for the 2005 season on April 23rd and will be open 7 days a week, from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. until December 24th. The Minneapolis Farmers' Market is open rain or shine, is wheelchair accessible, and is a WIC participant. This is a truly fun experience for the entire family!

Boom Island Park is a jewel in the crown of the nationally acclaimed Minneapolis parks system. Situated above historic Main Street, Nicollet Island, and the St. Anthony Lock and Dam, Boom Island is a veritable playground for families and tourists wishing to experience the majesty and beauty of the Mississippi River. The park provides trails, play, and eating areas.

Explore the largest regional park in Minneapolis, Theodore Wirth Park! The park utilizes seasonal weather changes to maximize visitor activities.  The summer golf fairways are converted into winter snow tubing courses and cross country skiing paths.   This park can boast a true year round use from it's activities.  The golf course pro shop is also used during the winter as a center for the winter sports.  The park also hosts the Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden and Bird Sanctuary, Picnics in the large 1900s picnic pavilion and much more.

This awesome water park features speed and loop slides that are three stories tall. A shallow water pool, with water playground features, geysers and gadgets that will thrill any toddler! Historic Sumner Library at the corner of Olson Highway and Van White Memorial Boulevard in North Minneapolis has opened as a state-of-the-art facility with a strong collection of books, media, and community resources.  The 4.8 million dollar renovations were completed in January 2005.
