Sam Mack
1607 Emerson Ave. N., Old Highland

Noted craftsman T.P. Healy built this house during the days when the neighborhood was known as Highland. The home features gleaming inlaid hardwood floors, two built-in buffets, wainscoting, 10-foot cove ceilings, a separate laundry room, library/study, two balconies and a wrap-around porch. The best part of it all is the neighborhood—it only takes me five minutes to get to Downtown or Uptown.   The West River Parkway and Boom Island are just to the east, offering biking and walking paths, and I do not have to use freeways to reach any of these destinations. Old Highland is a true neighborhood.

Thank you Sam for putting your home on the 2004 Home Tour!

(this is when I first met my neighborhood ... at Sam's home on the 2004 Home Tour.

Thank you Sam for introducing me to such a great group of neighbors!  Charlie)
