Join the Minneapolis Riverfront Partnership for a Great River Outing down Plymouth
Ave. to the Mississippi River. At the park (on the west side of the Plymouth Avenue
Bridge) we will discuss current and future River initiatives including BF Nelson Park,
Boom Island, the Scherer Brothers site, Bassett Creek, plans for the central and upper
riverfront, and river access.

There was an excellent turnout for the Preserve Minneapolis Historic Old Highland Walking Tour held on Saturday, July 16th. Attendees included current and former residents, history buffs, and community leaders. Special thanks to Brian Bushay and Tammy Lindberg for guiding the tour, to Anne and Jeremy Morris for preparing the brochures, and to Angie Nelson for heading up the Historic Old Highland project.
The June 17th porch party at Kathi Gialluca and Bruce Center new’s backyard patio was a success! Thanks to everyone that came out to share food and drinks!
As part of our Historic Old Highland project, we are hosting a Walking Tour of the Old Highland neighborhood on Saturday, July 16 starting at 10:00 a.m. The cost is $5.00.
Registration is at http://www.preserveminneapolis.org. Most tours will continue regardless of inclement weather. When space allows we are still accepting last minute additions and will take cash payments the day of the tour.
The tour will start at Ascension Church, 1723 Bryant Avenue North. Brian Bushay and Tammy Lindberg will be our tour guides.
To get ready for our debut on July 16, we are doing a practice Walking Tour on Wednesday evening July 6, starting at 6:00 p.m. This tour will be FREE. As above, we will be starting at Ascension Church.
